John Christian Otteson is an English/Welsh Writer and Director from Canterbury, Kent. He began writing screenplays and directing films at 17 whilst child acting for BBC, Channel 4, Viacom and more. A graduate of MET Film School, London, his work has screened around the world, including TLC’s Chinese Theatre, Hollywood. John’s films combine genre elements from Sci-fi/Thriller films and video games with personal character-driven narratives.
John currently has a feature film project, two live-action shorts and an animated short film in production, as well as exploring VR and Virtual Production opportunities through his company Three Wheel Entertainment.
Since 2021, John has also begun working for film director Sarah Gavron.
